Club member Alastair White gve a comprehensive talk on talking
and creating "Panoramas". In a Still Life
assignment, with members' choice judging, Chick Calder came in
first and second and Ian McDougall was third.
Neil Scott FRPS of Edinburgh Photographic Society gave us an
excellent talk on "KISS", illustrated by many
superb photos "keeping it simple stupid". "Rail
Adventure in the Balkans", a talk by club member Ian
Goodall, told the story, through over 400 photos, of Ian
and Sheila's rail adventure last summer.
Against Midlothian Camera Club in a Match-an-Image judge
Stephen Lipton gave North Berwick the result we deserved, making
amends for last year. A victory too at our annual Haddington
Camera Club meeting in a 20-images-each competition on "Water",
judged by Charles Summers. At Beeslack Penicuik Camera Club,
for a Match-an-Image competition, North Berwick won by the narrowest
of margins. However, this year at Roslin in the annual "8-way"
competition, judged by Graeme Webb, against other 'local' clubs
we didn't do as well as last year when we won best overall image.
Congratulations to Musselburgh Camera Club, this year's
"8-way" winners, and thank you to Dougie Allan for
organising this enjoyable event.
